Hong Kong Electronics Fair Opens Tomorrow: the Accessory Industry's Biggest Week
The Hong Kong Electronics Fair opens tomorrow at HKCEC: 3,200+ exhibitors, a hybrid online format and the accessory industry's biggest buying week. What to watch.

Tomorrow morning, the doors open on the accessory industry's biggest week. The HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) runs October 13 to 16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and per the organizer's official pages it gathers more than 3,200 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, with the concurrent electronicAsia components show alongside. We will be there with our new card readers and the full USB-C line, and so will a large share of everyone else in this business.
The scale has history behind it: the 2025 edition drew roughly 60,000 buyers from 142 countries and regions, with organizer-reported buyer growth from markets including Spain, Japan, Brazil and Australia. For one week, Wan Chai becomes the densest concentration of cables, hubs, chargers, audio and power accessories on the planet.
What the Fair Is Watching This Year
Two things stand out in the 2026 edition. The first is the technology spotlight: the organizer's materials highlight AI, IoT, XR, energy storage and health technology as the show's focus areas, which tells you where the accessorizable demand is heading. The second, and more immediately practical for buyers, is the product geography: the fair's zones include electronic gadgets, power supplies and accessories, electronic accessories and mobile electronics, plus dedicated OEM/ODM global sourcing areas, which is the map of our own product world drawn in exhibition halls.
For buyers, the week's real work happens in those zones, and the discipline we recommended in our fair field guide still applies: shortlist before you walk, ask every booth the same structural questions, in-house production, per-unit testing, certification paperwork, and schedule production-line samples for after the show, because booth samples perform and bulk shipments drift, and the fair is where that gap gets managed or ignored.
The Hybrid Fair Is the Real Change
The structural story of 2026 is the format. The fair runs in HKTDC's "EXHIBITION+" hybrid model: the physical show is backed by the Click2Match smart business-matching platform, and the online component runs from October 6 to 23, extending a four-day event into a nearly three-week sourcing window. Buyers who cannot fly in match and meet digitally; buyers on the floor keep their conversations alive through the online phase after the halls close.
For the accessory trade, the hybrid model changes procurement rhythm in two ways. Product discovery now continues for weeks, which favors suppliers whose online catalogs and specifications are complete and current, the websites, in other words, are part of the booth. And follow-up discipline matters more, because every exhibitor's offer now lives or dies in the long online tail after the aisles empty.
